What Is Quordle How to Play This Tricky Wordle Clone

Flappy Bird, 2048, and now Wordle. Whenever a basic game becomes popular, a series of clones inevitably follows.

We have Wordle Unlimited, a clone that bypasses the one-per-day social aspect of the original. Worldle is a geography-themed spin-off. And if you know your JABBA from your VADER don’t forget to check out the Star Wordle.

Enter Quordle, a game in which there is more than just one word at a time.

What is Quardle?

Quordle Wordle times four. Four words, all in one. A Quartet of Wordles.

So how do you play four Wordles at once? Well, you enter your guess word and watch it appear on the first line of each word game. You then see the familiar colors that tell you which letters are correct and which are in their correct positions. If you can guess all four words before your nine guesses run out, you win.

Quardle spawned from another spin-off, Dordle, which challenges players with two Wordles at once.

how do you play it?

Go to Quordle.com. You should see four empty word games in a two-by-two grid. Each grid has nine rows and the standard five columns for a five-letter word.

Type your first guess word via keyboard or on-screen virtual keyboard.

Press Enter. Each grid will highlight letters indicating how they relate to the word in that grid. Green means the letter is correct. Yellow means the letter is in the word, just in a different position.

You only have nine total guesses and your guess must be the same in each of the four grids. When you get a word right, the grid will stop updating

Keep guessing and, using the process of elimination combined with your knowledge of the five-letter words, try to solve all four puzzles.

Is Quordle harder than Wordle?

This is a different challenge. You should have a higher hit rate for your guesses because the number of possible events is four times as many. But with only nine guesses, it’s still very intriguing. After five guesses, you need to identify one correct word with each of your remaining four turns.

Practice Makes Perfect

If Quordle hasn’t done enough to fuel your habit, it introduces a practice mode. The original Wordle is famous for its one-puzzle-a-day approach, which is great for word-of-mouth marketing, but not so great for actual game addicts.

Quardle still has a “word of the day,” but it also has a practice mode: an endless cycle of random words that allow you to practice to your heart’s content.

Are there any easy steps to be successful at Quardle?

First of all, try to get good coverage of the papers from the very beginning. You’re going to see a wider range of letters than the typical round of Wordle. I like to use maybe three in the beginning to cover 15 different characters. This can include all vowels, y, and the nine most common consonants: T, N, S, H, R, D, L, C, M.

Now you have two more guesses before guessing each word one at a time. At this point you should be hunting for any clear words. Now it is worth speculating if there is any strong candidate. The quicker you guess a word, the quicker you can deduce the rest of the words. Your guess may reveal very useful information elsewhere.

Quordle = four times the fun

An inevitable question arises: what next? Octordal? Oh wait, that already exists! All this goes to show that we can never have enough of a good thing. There are countless variations on a simple theme, and it seems we’re more than willing to try most of them.
